Fundraising dinner raises $825 towards the purchase of mosquito nets

A big thank you to our supporters and all who contributed to the success of the Fundraising Dinner at the African Queen Restaurant in Marrickville, Sydney on Sunday 23rd October.
.
$825 was raised towards the purchase of mosquito nets to protect the most vulnerable members of the Ongeche community, pregnant women and children, against the threat of malaria.
.
Special thanks to Mr Sylvester Obong’o, our guest speaker, who delivered a distinguised after dinner speech title: “Filling in the Development Gap: The Role of Charity in Development”.

You are invited to attend Piye’s fourth Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held at:

        Merewether Building, University of Sydney

        Cnr City Road and Bultin Ave, Darlington, NSW

        On Sunday 13th November

        4:00pm - 4:45pm

Please note that due to the security of the building, we ask that you’d meet us at the entrance to the Merewether Building (Bultin Ave) at 3:45pm, so we may be seated for an 4:00 start.

Thank You to the Rotary Club of Fairy Meadow

Piye would like to express special thanks to Rotary Club of Fairy Meadow for their generous donation of $8654.93 towards the Ongeche Poultry Program. The Poultry Program aims to empower the Ongeche community, lifting living standards through increased economic capacity, while also having the benefit of improving nutrition.

You are invited to attend Piye’s third Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held at:

        Merewether Building, University of Sydney

        Cnr City Road and Bultin Ave, Darlington, NSW

        On Saturday 26th February

        11:30am - 12:15pm

Over the past year we have had an opportunity to finalise our strategic plan and update some of our current projects in Kenya. We have also recently appointed new Board members, and look forward to introducing the Piye Board to you.
