Positions Vacant: Board and Sub-Committee Members
We are currently recruiting strategic thinkers and proactive individuals to join our board and a number of sub-committees. The positions are voluntary and do not involve any overseas travel.
We are looking for individuals with skills in following areas: Event Management, Communication, Marketing, Legal, Fundraising, Accounting/Finance, Administration and Human Resources.
Selection Criteria
1. A demonstrated passion for international health and/or development work.
(If you do not have experience working in this area, please tell us the reason for your interest).
2. Willingness to join the organisation as a member by paying $70 membership fee.
3. Ability to involve your networks to join the organisation and/or contribute time and/or resources to Piye.
4. Commitment to attend and contribute at meetings, as well as contribute towards the implementation of the strategic plan.
(Participation on the board or sub-committees will require a minimum commitment of two days (16 hours) per month.) Please specify the minimum and maximum number of hours you are willing to contribute towards the work of Piye each month.
5. Willingness to assist in planning and/or promoting and attending fundraising events.
6. Please specify whether you are interested in joining the board or a sub-committee. The sub-committees are Finance, Fundraising, Marketing, Administration and Legal.
7. What skills do you bring that make you a good candidate?
8. Willingness to source and/or participate in career development opportunities.
Note: All board meeting dates and times are based on consensus and are scheduled outside normal office hours.
